Editing MP3 tags on your android smartphone shouldn’t be a problem and you need to know that MP3 tags usually contain information such as song title, artist, album name, and song’s length. They are useful in MP3 player for keeping music organized and once you add or edit music tags, the tags will display in your music player. However, it’s not possible to change the tags manually on your android device but there are a countless of apps available in the Android Playstore that allows you to edit and create custom tags.
If you want to be MP3 editor or you just wish to change any of your music tags on your smartphone, then I recommend you to use iTag app that can be downloaded for free at Google Play Store.
iTag is the most popular android mp3 tag editing app on android market & it comes with both free and paid version but they does same work, I didn’t see anything special about the paid version though but the he most cool thing about this app is that it provides search (keyword) bar, which makes it easy to find song that needs tagging. Another cool thing is that it can find songs automatically and thus doesn’t require a manual selection for you to fill in that preferred tags you wish.
How to edit MP3 tags with iTag
- After installing iTag, run the app and then tap on ‘Songs’ to browse the song list that you want edit for.
- Tap on the song name that you want to edit its tags.
- Tap on the field you wish to edit (artist, album, genre or year). Type the desired information in the field. Once done, scroll down and tap “Save” to save the changes.
- Now, open your music app to see the changes.
